It was an absolute delight to present Becky Ballinger, Managing Director, and Jessica Cheal, Graduate Planner, from the CDS Group with their Platinum Award at the 2025 CBCE.

The CDS Group has served the cemetery and crematoria sector for over 20 years, designing and building new cemeteries and new and refurbished crematoria. Sustainability and environmental responsibility are central to their approach in developing, expanding, and improving bereavement services.

Becky said ‘I am grateful to have been part of the initiative and proud to be part of The CDS Group, a sustainable and socio-environmentally conscious company. We were delighted to receive our Award at the CBCE Conference in June. Our Graduate Planner, Jessica Cheal, worked diligently on our audit details, and Carolyn was on hand throughout the process to provide advice and support. Having received an audit score of 84.2%, we are committed to working through the Improvement Plan to increase this scoring. We are very proud to be doing what we can to be a more sustainable company in our sector.’.
