Rushcliffe Oaks achieve Trusted Crematorium Bronze Award
Rushcliffe Oaks is an environmentally conscious crematorium situated in open countryside between Nottingham and the Vale of Belvoir. The carbon-neutral facility uses renewable energy sources and is one of the first in the UK to utilise all-electric technology.
The crematorium building was constructed with a ‘living roof’, planted with green sedums to provide additional habitat for wildlife,, and in the grounds, native deciduous trees are carefully selected for planting. Over 30 species of wild birds have been identified in the grounds, including Buzzards, Red Kites, Swifts, and Blackcaps.
Congratulations to Rhonda Churchill and all the team at Ruchcliffe Oaks on receiving your GGFS Trusted Crematorium Bronze Award.
