Complete Crematoria Sustainability Audit Questionnaire

Checklist

Having received your Bronze Award, the next step is to complete the online Sustainability Audit Questionnaire (SAQ).

This will explore where you are on your environmental journey, examining all areas of your work to identify which activities are having the most environmental impact.

Opposite are the audit categories. The questions within are both generic and sector specific and consider areas of your work which are easily overlooked.

We not only ask the question, but explain why we are asking, provide examples of responses and suggestions of evidence required.  Should you ever be uncertain, we are always there to help you.

The completed SAQ is submitted online with evidence supporting all the answers given.

Upon receipt, the SAQ and supporting evidence will be scrutinised by one of our assessors, guided by our independent qualified ISO 14001 Lead Auditor. If there are any errors, concerns or omissions the SAQ will be returned with a request that the necessary corrections are made and/or additional information submitted.

Platinum award example

Upon successful submission of the SAQ and supporting evidence, a Silver, Gold or Platinum Achievement Certificate will be issued to signify the business has attained a higher Greener Globe Funeral Award. Our assessors will be on hand to support you through the process and offer advise should your score be only a few points short of a higher award.

Details of your achievement will be updated on the Greener Globe Funeral Standard website informing every one of your achievement.

On the anniversary of your registration, payment of your annual surveillance fee will be required.  If you wish, you can review and update your Sustainability Audit so that your environmental aspect score reflects any sustainability improvements you have made. Alternatively, if it is less than 4 years since your last audit, you can complete the Audit Waiver declaration. The declaration confirms there have been no material changes that could impact your award. Once your annual registration fee has been received, together with your completed sustainability audit or declaration, we will update your award.
